FACT
A new study has found foetuses prefer listening to classical music over contemporary pop songs. Research by fertility doctors shows that overall, babies prefer listening to classical music than pop songs in the womb. Beethoven’s ‘Ode to Joy’ from his Symphony No. 9 and Bach’s Sonata for flute, among others, elicited the happiest responses.
FACT
Scientists at the Institute Marques in Barcelona studied the mouth and tongue movements of over 300 unborn babies, aged between 18 and 38 weeks.
The foetuses were exposed to a range of 15 songs which fell into the following categories: classical, traditional world music, and pop or rock.
Classical music caused the greatest level of reaction (84 per cent), followed by traditional music (79 per cent) and pop or rock music (59 per cent).
Researchers said it is very unusual for these movements to happen during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy without a stimulus such as music.

Welcome to Sweet Lullaby Baby!
Imagine having your very own bespoke piece of music to give to your baby pre/post their birth!
At Sweet Lullaby Baby, my dedication to music and to creating beautiful lullabies for babies, is something I feel would help new mothers and babies alike settle into a calm routine especially if your little one has trouble settling or sleeping. As a mother of two myself , I have the knowledge and experience of finding ways to calm a baby. Music is such a powerful tool in so many ways. If I can give a you a peaceful night's sleep moving forward then I believe that my music would really help.
What happens when babies listen to music
Neuroscientists who study baby brains say music has long-lasting benefits for babies, too.
Music makes a big difference to the baby brain. One study from the Institute of Learning and Brain Sciences detected that after babies listen to music, their auditory and prefrontal cortexes look different. These are the regions of the brains in charge of processing both music and speech.
Not only that: when young children interact with others, the positive effects of listening to music have been seen to extend to personality traits, like being helpful and cooperative.
Sweet Lullaby Baby was born out of a love of music and how I could be of service as a composer to new mums and new babies. I have been composing music since I was 11 years old and having had two beautiful baby boys some years ago I wrote pieces of music for both of them. I played them to the boys when I was pregnant and they both recognised their music more or less straightaway after they were born. I used it daily, especially when the were napping or around bedtime. It helped with their daily bedtime routine and also in other situations.
The power of music should not be underestimated and it can be used to calm not only babies but children and adults alike.
Immerse your baby in a symphony of beautiful, bespoke lullabies crafted from my heart with lots of love and care.
Indulge in a peaceful melody that creates a serene ambiance for your baby's sleep. Thus aiding mothers rest too.
Elevate your baby's bedtime routine with their very own tranquil lullaby to promote relaxation and bonding for both the mother and child. Maybe bed time is signalled by a relaxing bath, a snuggle wrapped in a baby towel, baby massage, last feed and then bedtime. Having their very own lullaby which is familiar to them will help to settle babies who are restless on going to bed.
Enhance the bond with your baby through shared moments of musical comfort and calm. Think of your baby snuggle close to you and that bond that is never broken between mother or father of baby. Create precious times with their very own lullaby.
I began my life as a musician at three years of age when I discovered the piano . I was drawn to it and by the time I was six I was having piano lessons. I have been involved in music all of my life and it is my passion and life purpose.
I was privileged to be accepted to study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music, London where I graduated with honours and gained a teaching diploma.
My musical adventure has taken me all over the world, starting in London, Qatar, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore.
Settled now in Cheshire for the last twenty years I have built up a thriving teaching practice.I play for weddings and events giving excellence in both fields. You can click on the link below to find out more about my wedding and events business.
Composing music is something I love to create and also my love for children including my own two boys. Having watched their reaction, when they were babies, to the lullaby I composed for each of them I was amazed at the calming effect they had.
I hope that you enjoy the music I provide for you and I send it to you with much love from my heart .❤️
I use Logic Pro to create my compositions. This is a high quality state of the art music software programme which allows me to create several lines of music into one piece of music. Once I am happy with my creation , I mix it so that it sounds professionally excellent and turn it into an MP4 ready to download onto your memory stick.
Then I create a QR code for your piece of music which only you and I , as the creator will have access to.
All copyrights remain with me so it cannot be re -produced or if stolen used for anything else other than your baby's listening.
I will then create the certificate with your baby's name, date of birth and star sign. I add common traits to your baby's star sign and then produce the melody in written form so you can see what I have actually created for you and your baby.
I sign and date it and give it a catalogue number which you and I keep to prove it is your music and that I wrote it.
This is then archived and kept forever.
